Transport Planner EMEA

For our client we are looking for a Transport Planner EMEA based in Amsterdam area. Our client provides specialized global supply chain solutions in transportation, logistics and storage. Responsibilities:

• Strategic development and Planning: The candidate needs to be able to use his, her experience in transportation management to review the current operations and redesign the transportation strategy to match the requirements of the clients and the company's aspirations;




• Operations Management: Manage the daily operations. Lead the team to meet the KPI's and SLA's as agreed with the clients, without compromising the quality and cost efficiency of the deliveries;




• Report and Issue Management: Manage the daily, weekly and monthly performance and report back to management. Perform analysis on transportation volume, efficiency, quality and cost related data. Understand business trends, perform root cause analysis to advise potential area for improvement;




• Cost Management: Budget control, vendor management and end responsible for invoiced costs;




• Other task: Execution of projects assigned by management.

The offer
* Secure a direct contract with for 1 year (with a 1-month probation period), aiming for an indefinite contract thereafter;
* Competitive salary range based on experience: between € 4000-€ 5000 gross per month based on 40 hours;

Requirements:

Work experience:

* Work experiences in transportation leader or manager roles in 3PL logistics service industry;
* Experiences of strategic transportation route planning in European market a MUST;
* Analytical Skills
* Familiar with basic function and logic of TMS (transportation management system), big data analysis and route planning software will be a plus;
* Software: proficiency in MS office, esp. for Excel with basic formula logic concept;
* Languages: Dutch, English or German;
* Good interpersonal skills.
