The Team
The Site-Merchandising team is responsible for the consumer journeys on the brand's European website. The team merchandises the product on the pages and uses tools like Fredhopper and XO to ensure that the consumer is presented with the right product at the right time. The team is responsible for setting up the merchandising strategy ahead of the season and tracking performance in-season to steer and optimize performance.
The Position
The Specialist Site-Merchandiser is responsible for defining the seasonal on-site product journeys. This entails working with the Buying team to understand the collection strategy and sales targets and translate this into an on-site strategy. The position requires you to have an in-depth understanding of the consumer, their interests and behaviour, so that the on-site strategy is always in line with the consumer’s expectations.
In addition to working on the seasonal strategy, the Ecommerce Site Merchandiser is responsible for working together with the Product Owners, UX and CRO teams to create new on-site features as well as optimizing existing ones in order to create a strong conversion-driven consumer experience.
- Collaborate with the Buying and Planning teams to translate collection strategies into effective on-site product journeys.
- Set up on-site journeys using merchandising tools such as XO and Fredhopper.
- Analyze site performance metrics and generate insights to optimize merchandising strategies.
- Work with UX and CRO teams to implement enhancements to the user experience, focusing on improving conversion rates or product discoverability.
- Assist in the delivery of new on-site features to support seasonal launches.
- Stay updated on industry trends and developments in digital merchandising to continuously improve the on-site experience.
The Ideal Candidate
- 3-4 years of experience in site merchandising, e-commerce, or digital commerce, with a strong understanding of merchandising best practices.
- Proficiency in using merchandising tools such as Fredhopper, XO, or similar platforms to optimize on-site product journeys.
- Analytical mindset with experience in tracking performance metrics and using data to inform decision-making.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally with teams like Buying, Planning, UX, and CRO.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in fashion retail or a related industry is a plus.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a focus on improving the consumer experience.
