Scala Backend Developer - Temporary

A big IT service provider is looking for an experienced backend developer!
In this assignment of 5 months, you will join a multidisciplinary team and take an active part in developing the company's portfolio catalogue.
So if you have experience with Scala, Akka HTTP, ElasticSearch, or other SQL databases, we would love to hear from you!

• Developing and maintaining the company's Portfolio Catalogue using Scala, Akka HTTP, and Akka Persistence;




• Creating and implementing stream processing and event sourcing solutions;




• Designing and implementing application and workflow processes;




• Working collaboratively with the scrum team to continually improve the product and team processes;




• Participating in regular scrum events such as review and refinement;




• Keeping up to date with the latest technologies and best practices to continuously improve skills and knowledge;




• Working with DevOps tools and processes such as Docker-Container, CI/CD, and Git;




• Monitoring application performance using tools such as Grafana and Loki.

A great fulltime (36 hours) assignment in Amsterdam, from July 2024 to the end of the year. Hybrid working is possible. For zzp the hourly rate is between 75-80 Euro per hour. There's also the possibility of a flex contract via us, in which case an attractive salary applies.

Requirements:

* Several years of working experience with Scala;
* Experience with Akka HTTP, Akka persistence;
* Experience with ElasticSearch, Postgres SQL or similar SQL databases;
* Knowledge of DevOps, Docker-Container, CI/CD, and Git;
* Knowledge of Grafana, Loki or similar monitoring tools like Datadog, NewRelic is a plus;
