Our partner utilizes extensive expertise in market development, finance, logistics, investment, and information management to address complex business challenges across a wide range of commodities and services.
For the office in Amsterdam, the hub of tax matters in the EMEA region and management of investments flowing through the Netherlands, we are currently looking for a Tax Manager to bring in their indirect tax expertise and who wants to increase their tax expertise on direct and international tax matters.
As Tax Manager, you will serve as a regional tax expert, managing and supporting tax-related activities for the operations within the EMEA region. This includes consultation on corporate income tax, transfer pricing, VAT, and other tax matters. The role involves proactive compliance management, advisory support, and contributing to the development of business strategies from a tax perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Consultation/Advisory
- Provide day-to-day tax advisory services on Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Transfer Pricing (TP), VAT, and other issues for entities in the EMEA region.
- Monitor, collect, and share updates on tax reforms, ensuring timely dissemination of information.
- Organize and deliver tax-related seminars for local offices.
- Support the engagement and coordination of external tax advisers for compliance- related matters, including local file reporting.
- Facilitate communication between regional offices and headquarters, including reporting activities.
- Provide tax consultation for new business initiatives within the EMEA region in collaboration with tax advisers and group companies.
Tax Compliance Management
- Oversee and support tax compliance efforts and audits across the EMEA region.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns and transfer pricing documentation.
- Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and ensure proper tax audit management.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in tax advisory roles, particularly with multinational or listed companies.
- Bachelor's degree in Tax Law, Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics (preferred).
- Master's degree in Tax Law or Fiscal Economics or equivalent.
- Fluency in English (native-level proficiency in listening, verbal, and written communication).
- Fluency in Dutch is a significant advantage.
- Strong understanding of indirect tax law and EU tax law.
- Experience with Big 4 firms or other global organizations is advantageous.
- Completion of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (NOB) education program or an educational program of equivalent level to the NOB in another EU country is an advantage.
