Buyer Administrator | Fashion Industry

Do you have a passion for fashion and a strong affinity for fabrics? In this role, you will collaborate closely with suppliers as well as the product, sales, and IT teams. You will be responsible for managing the cut-to-length fabric collection and handling customer-specific fabric orders.
As a Buyer Administrator, you will play a key role in managing supplier collections and customer fabric orders. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with high-end European fabric suppliers and mills.
  • Planning and overseeing seasonal fabric and lining selections for suppliers.
  • Selecting the best-matching trims for fabrics (e.g., thread, lining, undercollar felt).
  • Importing fabrics and linings into the PDM system.
  • Coordinating and arranging the distribution of fabric and lining bunches, including invoicing follow-ups.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date archive of cut-to-length fabrics and linings.
  • Negotiating and maintaining accurate material pricing.
  • Monitoring stock availability in the system.
  • Tracking buying volumes and handling supplier complaints.
  • Processing customer-specific fabric orders on a weekly basis.
  • Assisting the customer operations team with material-related inquiries.

Requirements:

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for high-quality textiles.
The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in fashion or a related field (HBO level).
  • Knowledge and/or experience with fabrics.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in men’s fashion wear and textile knowledge (a plus).
  • A proactive, flexible mindset with strong organizational skills.
  • A hands-on, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
  • Strong English communication skills (spoken and written).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
