Interim Director Business Applications

Join our client, a global entertainment company, as the Interim Director of Business Applications, where you'll lead and inspire a dynamic application development team. With a focus on maximizing ROI through large-scale corporate applications, you'll drive agile practices, oversee vendor relationships, and cultivate talent while aligning technology investments with business objectives.As Interim Director Business Applications you will:

• Lead and inspire the application development team to identify new functionality and prioritize projects for maximum ROI.




• Manage and deliver large-scale corporate applications (ERP, CRM, HR, BI/Data Warehouse) while ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery with high quality.




• Collaborate with IT leadership to define a multi-year investment roadmap that aligns with business objectives and cost models.




• Drive agile software development practices and foster a culture of continuous delivery and automation in the SDLC.




• Oversee vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR).




• Recruit, develop, and retain talent while providing performance feedback and professional development opportunities for team members.

A challenging full time assignment from either the Netherlands or the UK (with hybrid working possible). Start data is ASAP, initially for 2/3 months, but likely extended to 6 months. The rate is between €100-125 per hour. Get in touch with us right now!

Requirements:

* Strong knowledge of system architecture and technical design, with 15+ years of experience in enterprise business systems, ERP implementation (Microsoft Dynamics/SAP), and mission-critical applications optimized for cloud environments.
* Visible leadership skills and executive presence, with exceptional abilities to attract, develop, and retain high-performing software development teams.
* A good understanding of positive employee relations, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.
* Exceptional ability to lead change through collaborative methods, managing multiple priorities effectively and resolving conflicts to achieve win-win outcomes.
* Strong communication skills in writing, speaking, and presenting, along with exceptional listening abilities to comprehend and probe for additional insights.
* Knowledge of emerging trends in SaaS, cloud, AI, and machine learning, with experience in implementing innovative solutions that challenge existing paradigms.
