HR & Office Administrator (Part-time position)

We are looking for an enthusiastic part-time HR & Office Administration to join our team in Amsterdam! If you are a fast learner with an independent, doer mentality, and would like to join a fun, hardworking, international team, then we'd love to hear from you!

Tasks:

  • Responsible for regular HR administration such as confirming monthly payroll, registering leave and sick days, updating office schedule and more
  • Assist with hiring and complete onboarding of new employees, ensuring all employees have required tools and equipment to work efficiently
  • Draft (new) employment contracts and monitor contract renewals
  • Suggest improvements, update and maintain HR policies and procedures in our knowledge base
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
  • Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits etc.
  • Address employee inquiries regarding office matters such as travel arrangements, help with MS Outlook etc.
  • Plan team events including anniversaries and team bonding activities (including logistics for employees working from abroad)
  • Assist with organising major events like IamExpat Fair
  • Manage common IamExpat mailboxes
  • Perform yearly RI&E evaluations
  • Liaise with external institutions and benefits providers, which may include insurance providers, UWV, company doctor, pension plan providers, payrolling companies etc.
  • Responsible for the condition of the office at all times, making sure it is tidy, professional and clutter-free
  • Assist with package distribution to clients, partners and employees
  • Support with finance and administrative tasks when the Office Manager is out of office
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

  • Part-time position: 20 hours per week (ideally spread over 4 days)
  • Location: Amsterdam, the Netherlands (hybrid model)

Requirements:

  • Prior related work experience in a relevant role preferred
  • University degree (preferably in the direction of HR)
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office applications
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Trustworthy, responsible and team oriented
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
  • Self-starter and action-oriented
  • In possession of a valid work & residence permit (if applicable)
