WeWork: a new coworking space in Amsterdam
There’s a new coworking space in town... WeWork has arrived in Amsterdam!
Introducing WeWork
WeWork Amsterdam provides space, community and services to startups, businesses (big and small), and creators of all sorts.
In March 2015 WeWork opened their second European office on Amsterdam’s Weteringschans. This three floor hub offers flex pleks, desks, lounges and offices for freelancers, startup founders, entrepreneurs and others in the creative and sharing economies.
The growing coworking movement
Although this is their first appearance in Amsterdam, WeWork is far from new to the worldwide share-space scene, with over 14 offices in New York City, and many more spaces in other US cities, and in London and Tel Aviv.
WeWork is already making waves in the United States, with Forbes magazine describing it as one of the most valuable startups in America, and Fast Company magazine naming it one of the most innovative companies of 2015.
With a fresh take on the concept of shared office spaces, WeWork is emerging as a leader in the growing share-space movement, thanks to their holistic focus on three essential principles: space, community and services.
A community of creators
Providing beautiful interiors, useful amenities, an inspiring network and flexible memberships, WeWork aims to be the place to work in Amsterdam for freelancers, startup founders and entrepreneurs.
The office has a strong focus on community, with weekly networking events such as lunchtime presentations, after-work drinks and contact with industry leaders.
A hive of activity, WeWork provides a nurturing environment for small businesses and freelancers to help each other grow via networking, collaboration and ideas sharing.
WeWork already has a worldwide community of more than 20.000 members and boasts testimonials from a variety of interesting and entrepreneurial folk including Erik Martin, the general manager of Reddit.

Who is WeWork?
WeWork was started by Adam Neumann and Miguel McKelvey in New York in 2010 with the aim of creating not just beautiful shared office spaces, but also a community.
Managing a young and rapidly-growing startup themselves, WeWork’s founders have precisely the right attitude and experience to support like-minded grass-roots enterprises.
The company is busy growing its community, via their online magazine Creator and the WeWork app, and with regular local events for members. By mid-2015 the company plans to have more than 60 locations worldwide.
