Senior Research Analyst PFAS

Are you experienced with LC-MS based techniques? And do you like to apply them to work on safe food and feed for public health? Would you like to know everything PFAS? Do you have the capability to motivate your colleagues? Then you might be the one we are looking for to join one of our research teams! We have a vacancy for Senior Research Analyst PFAS in our Organic Contaminants team.

As a Senior Research Analyst PFAS you will:

  • participate in routine and research projects, as well as execute ad hoc support analyses under quality assurance system ISO 17025;
  • perform method development, optimalisation and validation for PFAS in a large variety of food and feed materials and setup standard operating procedures (SOP);
  • analyze, interpret, report and pro-actively discuss results in collaboration with experts and project teams, including advice for next steps;
  • have the responsibility for critical evaluation of equipment, methods and techniques and you are expected to pro-actively propose points for improvement;
  • be the on-the-job coach for your co-workers in the team.


You also will be welcomed in our enthusiastic PFAS team. Besides in-depth expert knowledge, our colleagues are characterized by their supporting and flexible attitude. Together, we work on safe food and feed for public health.

Requirements:

Our ideal candidate:

  • has a bachelor level degree (BSc) in analytical chemistry or equivalent;
  • has at least 7 years of hands-on work experience in LC- MS analyses of preferably organic contaminants in a routine or research environment, like pharma or food;
  • preferably has affinity with statistics and data analysis;
  • is a senior team player with a hands-on attitude and the following key competences: accurate, result-oriented, quality-minded, well organized, open attitude and willingness to learn.


In our international working environment there is an increasing amount of communication in English. For this position it is about language level B2 If you do not yet have this level, we will of course help you and you can go to our language center Wageningen in'to Language. In case of non-Dutch nationality, the willingness to learn Dutch

We offer, depending on your experience, a competitive gross salary of between €3166,- and €4520,- for a full-time working week of 36 hours, in accordance with the CLA Wageningen Research (scale 9). Additionally, a contract for 32 hours a week can be discussed. You will initially receive a one-year contract, which will be extended to an open-ended contract upon in mutual enthusiasm.
